Summary

Search on order page was case-sensitive in some matches. This caused uppercase input, such as copied customer details, to miss matching orders.

What changed

Normalize both order search query and database column to lowercase for comparing.

How to test

   bun test apps/api/src/orders/order-search-assignment-1.test.ts

Manual checks:

Go to http://localhost:5173/orders and try inputting JOHN or jOhN, and any other format or symbols you can think of

Screenshots or recordings

Risks / follow-ups

Low risk; change is limited to backend order search filtering.
Full bun run check, bun run test, and bun run build:web can be run before merge if required.
